Poem: Your Pain

Category: Poetry

Your Pain

Your pain

Broken

Shards of

Clear glass

Invisible to

My sight

Ragged edges

Buried

Inside

Unknown

Suffering to

All around

I did try

To relieve

Your pain

Desperately

Searching

Finding

Clear shards of glass

Too many to count

Imbedded inside

Not easy to see

Even with

Sensitive eye

I did try

To feel

Your pain

Only to

Recognize

Despite

Desperate effort

Intentions

Never could be

Perceived enough

I did try

To absorb

Your pain

Only to

Appreciate

Now

You & I

Both

Unwell
